Elizabeth included images of the dorms during her time, paper pennants for the school, a permission slip from her mother to Dean Varner allowing her to have male visitors, as well as various other artifacts pertaining to her life on campus. Elizabeth was able to enjoy privileges such as visiting friends on weekends and receiving gentleman callers to campus. She was appointed by the Student Council as Head Monitor of Jackson in 1924. Elizabeth Carroll and her twin sister, Catherine Cornelia Carroll, hailed from Front Royal, Virginia. Elizabeth was a member of the Pinquet Tennis Club, the Choral Club, the Athletic Association, and the YWCA. Her inscription from the 1925 School Ma’am yearbook reads, "For though on pleasure she was bent, She had a frugal mind."
